I’m not sure if it’s bad design or bad programming, but having a article appear both above the fold:
A recent headline (above the fold) from Arstechnica
As well as below the fold:
The same article below the fold
Is not only ugly, it’s 1. overkill and 2. taking space away from other articles. Unless you really have nothing else to publish on your site I can’t think of any reason to duplicate stories across the page like this.
